16 Jan 03 via W7GK Elko Amateur Radio Club received an appointment from the ARRL as a Special Service Club (SSC)

16 Jan 03 – via W7GK Echolink up and running on the 444.700 remote base repeater. Wednesday night Echolink is activated on the 2 meter linked system for the ARES and Skywarn net at 1930 hr. Everyone and anyone welcome to check in.

01 Oct 02 – via N7JEH SKYWARM Recognition Day, Dec. 7, 2002. Come to the National Weather Service Office in Elko. Let’s see how many NOAA offices we can contact in one day!!

30 Sep 02 – via N7JEH Nevada Section Amateur Radio Emergency Service Simulated Emergency Test, (SET), will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9. This statewide exercise will commence at 08:30. Details to follow.

01Feb 02 - via KD7CWA New repeater link into Clark County in April or May. Soon as a freq. is received from coordinator the new machine will be set up on Angel Peak at 8733' Elev. Angle Peak is in the Spring Mtn. range next to Mt. Charleston.
